Речь в заметке идет о связях текста трагедии «Борис Годунов» с  пушкинскими выписками из Четьих-Миней — «Книг житий святых» Димитрия Ростовского (ПД 709). В заметке показано, что лексика агиографических текстов Димитрия Ростовского использовалась Пушкиным в «Борисе Годунове» для речевой характеристики Самозванца. Согласно материалам «Словаря языка Пушкина», некоторые выписанные Пушкиным слова в первый (а порой и единственный) раз в его текстах встречаются в «Борисе Годунове» и других произведениях периода Михайловской ссылки. Это дает основание пересмотреть традиционную предположительную (вернее, «условную») датировку автографа ПД 709 1831 годом в пользу датировки его 1825 годом, временем работы над первой беловой «михайловской» редакцией «Бориса Годунова».

EXTRACTS FROM THE LIVES OF THE SAINTS BY DIMITRI OF ROSTOV AND PUSHKIN’S WORK ON BORIS GODUNOV

This article discusses the connections between the text of Pushkin’s tragedy Boris Godunov and the autographic manuscript PD 709: Menologies for Reading, extracts of which Pushkin made from Dimitri of Rostov’s Lives of the Saints. Some lexical items from Dimitri of Rostov’s hagiographic texts were used by Pushkin in Boris Godunov to create the Pretender’s speech characteristics. According to the Dictionary of Pushkin’s Language, some of the words noted by Pushkin appear for the first and/or the only time in his texts in Boris Godunov and other works from the period of Mikhailovskoe exile. This encourages scholars to reconsider the traditionally accepted, yet contingent, dating of the manuscript PD 709 to 1831, and instead date it to 1825, the year when the first clean copy of the tragedy Boris Godunov was being prepared.
