Rules for submitting articles
- Articles should be sent by email to: balakin@inbox.ru (Alexey Yuryevich Balakin).
- Text format: Microsoft Word 1997-2003 file (extension *.doc or *.rtf). Times New Roman font, main text size 14 pt, footnotes 12 pt, line spacing 1.5; margins: top and bottom 2 cm; right 1.5 cm; left 3 cm.
- Footnotes are formatted automatically with continuous numbering throughout the text at the bottom of the page.
- Bibliographic references are given in footnotes. Quotations from Pushkin, unless the edition quoted is specifically stated, should be taken from the Complete Works (Moscow; Leningrad: Publishing House of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, 1937–1949. Vol. 1–16; 1959. <Vol. 17:> Reference volume). References to this edition are given in brackets with the volume (in Roman numerals) and page number. References to Pushkin’s autographs stored at the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkin House) of the Russian Academy of Sciences are given in abbreviated form: PD (i.e., Manuscript Department of the Pushkin House, f. 244, op. 1), followed by the storage unit number and, if necessary, the corresponding page of the manuscript.
- When referring to a publication for the first time, a full description is given where possible; subsequent references are abbreviated.
When referring to archival materials, the name of the archive is abbreviated. The form of reference to manuscript materials is structured as follows: Abbreviated name of the archive repository – abbreviated location in the fonds – reference to the manuscript sheets (example: RO IRLI, f. 95, op. 2, No. 7, l. 5—5ob.). - Illustrations for the article should be provided in *tiff or *jpg format, with a resolution of at least 600 dots per inch; they should be accompanied by complete and accurate captions, presented as a list at the end of the article.
- A list of all abbreviated names of institutions and publications should also be included at the end of the article for a summary list of abbreviations.
- The text of the article should be preceded by an abstract and keywords in Russian and English. The abstract should reveal the content of the publication. A list of references should be attached after the text.
