В статье рассматриваются проблемы атрибуции писцов Псковского Апостола 1307 г. палеографическими методами, а также история создания этого памятника. Данные палеографии свидетельствуют о том, что писец выходной записи Домид, оставивший цитату из «Слова о полку Игореве», а также псковский писец Явило не имели отношение к переписке Апостола. Мнение об этом было ошибочно распространено в историографии. Основной текст Апостола был выполнен несколько ранее, чем псковский книжник Домид оставил в 1307 г. свою запись. Особое внимание в статье уделено расшифровке в записи темных мест, касающихся астрономических вычислений и тайнописи. Также дана практическая оценка палеографических таблиц, создаваемых современными исследователями.

Why Domid and Yavilo Could not Write the Pskov Apostle of 1307: The Problem of Handwriting Identification in Medieval Russian Manuscripts from the Late 13th and the Early 14th Century

This study employs the paleographic methods to identify the scribes who produced the so-called Pskov Apostle of 1307. Moreover, the author of the article considers this problem in the context of the early history of this manuscript. Contrary to widespread opinion, the paleographic data indicate that neither the scribe Domid, who left a quotation from The Tale of Igor’s Campaign on the last leaf of the manuscript, nor the Pskov scribe Yavilo took part in the copying of the Apostle. The main text of this manuscript had been written sometime before 1307, when Domid added his note to it. The author of the article presents her interpretation of obscure astronomical calculations and encrypted words in Domid’s note. The article also includes a discussion of the practical value of the paleographic tables compiled by modern researchers.
