The Archaeographic Expedition to Vyatka in 2023

In 2023, the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkinskii Dom) of the Russian Academy of Sciences made one more archaeographic expedition to Vyatka. The expedition members met with the Old Believers of the Filippovtsy branch of the Bezpopovtsy group and with those who belong to the Belokrinitsy group. The expedition obtained new information about people who had maintained the local manuscript tradition. Moreover, the expedition members identified new manuscripts that had been produced by these people. The Repository of Ancient Manuscripts (Drevlekhranilishe) of the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkinskii Dom) received 38 manuscripts and one early printed book. These materials date from the 19th and 20th centuries. An appendix to the article contains a list of the early printed books that were obtained in the Vyatka region by the expeditions under the auspices of the Institute of Russian Literature in the period from 2011 to 2023. The books date from the 16th to the 20th century.
