The paper presents new details on the time of foundation of the Aleksandro-Oshevenskii monastery and church construction in the first decades of its existence. The liturgical manuscript of the 15th century of the Library of the Russian Academy of Sciences includes the rites of church consecration. The notes in that manuscript name the date of consecration of the first church in the monastery, as well as the dates of two more consecrations associated with the events described in the Life of Alexander Oshevenskii. The author especially focuses on the exact date of the consecration of the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, which is the date of the monastery’s foundation — the 29th of July, 1464. The codex also contains a copy of the antimension given to the Oshevenskii Monastery by Bishop Philothey of Perm. That fact testifies to the complex relationship between the Novgorod and Perm dioceses already in the second half of the 15th century. The note in the manuscript and a copy of the antimension also demonstrate the consecration of the second, Dormition Church in 1489/90 and the re-consecration of the wooden St. Nicholas Church on the 18th of May, 1501.
